Jeannette Hay

Pet Pawtrait & Wildlife Animal Fine Artist

Jeannette was born in Montreal Canada and after years of travelling and living in other countries she returned to Toronto, Canada where she has been living since 2005.

On her return she worked mostly on pet paw-traits which quickly became popular. She  received the cover of Canadian Arabian News magazine, and she also won the Toronto Library competition receiving a medallion from the Mayor of East York, (a borough of Toronto) for Outstanding Artistic Achievement.

Jeannette says, “I  create a feeling of connection between my audience and the animals I depict by bringing the character and personality of the animals out onto the canvas. I do this to bring about an increase of affinity towards them and their environments. I do this with the intention of making these creatures more appealing to people so they will increase their efforts to help safeguard and improve natures environments so everyone can enjoy them living free in their natural habitats for generations to come.”

Her work can be found in various private collections both in Europe, Canada and the USA.

Favorite Quotes:
The artist has an enormous role in the enhancement of today’s and the creation of tomorrow’s, reality. He operates in a rank in advance of science as to the necessities and requirements of man. The elevation of a culture can be measured directly by the numbers of its people working in the field of aesthetics.”

L. Ron Hubbard from “The Route To Infinity”

“We are responsible not merely for our own happiness; we affect and are affected by the concerns of all others on this globe.”
